Ramón Spaaij is a Senior Research Fellow in the School of Social Sciences at La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, and at the Amsterdam Institute for Social Science Research, University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Ramón’s research interests include social and cultural aspects and impacts of sport. He also has a strong research interest in terrorism and political violence. Ramón has taught in sociology, sports studies and conflict studies at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
